I found a Curse Word in my Crossword so I ran to show my dad
I was sure he'd be upset to see but all he did was laugh

He said "Son did you circle it, Son did you circle it"
I said "No I didn't circle it, no, I know better than that"

He said "Accidents happen and God am I guilty of those
If they're backwards diagonal, don't worry, nobody knows"

I found a Curse Word in my Crossword so I asked him why it's there
Surely there's an editor to catch this kind of error

He said "Son did you search for it, Son did you search for it"
I said "No, I didn't search for it, no, I just found it there"

He said "Accidents happen and God am I guilty of those
If they're backwards diagonal, don't worry, nobody knows"

He said infinite letters all mixing so random
Will happen to trip up and spit out a bad one
You cannot take issue with every mix-up or mistake
If you're searching for worries so harmless and trivial
/ the finger you're pointing is always the middle one
Always be ready for something to ruin your day

He said, son just don't circle it, circle the ones in the bank

But dad what if I wrote a song and halfway through writing that song
I realized I kept saying "Crossword"
When I meant "Word Search"

If you don't draw attention then maybe nobody'll know

Mistakes are forgivable, you get a little bad luck
If they happen to happen just pass it and laugh at it
